CREDO

CREDO

I grew up in the 1970s,

the analogue age, when my father worked for pioneering US IT companies,

when a computer was a factory floor with magnetic reel machines turning

like the engine room of a 1970s spaceship.

I saw the digital go from binary ping-pong on a screen, to tiny video arcade games

to large booths running Walt Disney's TRON in a huge fairground arcade.

The 80s fast-forwarded photography, video and film into the new age of media and digital, and continued into the 90s.

Fast forward is now the only button on a tape recorder.

Nakamichi is still the dream machine.

The fast forward button.

There comes a time when low tech beats high tech. and that is the human touch,

the artist behind the wheel of FF time, the reels turning slowly again.

Time to think.

Time to rewind the message.

It is time to re-strategise in ways that have always worked.

Use the new tools, and run the old programme.

This is the time.

Back to the future.
